Language Management

Avacy allows for multilingual website management, requiring you to set one language as primary and others as secondary.

On the "Language Management" page, accessible from the web space dashboard by clicking the “Manage Languages” button within the relevant box, you can modify, delete, deactivate, or add new languages at any time.

By deactivating a language, it is only disabled and made unavailable, but it can always be reactivated without losing the previously entered content. Deleting a language, on the other hand, is a destructive action that erases the content set for it without the possibility of recovery, including the Cookie Banner, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. You can also change the primary language by clicking the “Set as Primary Language” button.

The primary language cannot be disabled or deleted. If you wish to perform either action, you must first set a new language as primary.

Once you have made the necessary language modifications, click the “Save Languages” button to apply the changes to your web space.

Avacy does not perform runtime translations due to the high risk of errors and the legal nature of the texts, where even minor mistakes can lead to disputes. However, you can set up the cookie banner and policies in the supported languages.

For privacy and cookie policies, the supported languages are the main European languages (English, Italian, French, Spanish, and German).

For the cookie banner, the currently supported languages are visible at this link (section: List of translations for purpose descriptions TCF EU v2.2).
